my Annual Apple Cider Spritz
Hi all,
With Thanksgiving coming up, I thought I’d share my signature Thanksgiving drink and spread, that I have prepared for my family the last couple of years. This holiday spritz is foolproof, everyone loves it as a first drink, and it can be batch prepared in advance for easy pouring (which I figured out after making 25+ individual spritz drinks one year… never again.
Et voila… very simple:
Fresh apple cider (try and find from the market, or some sort of fresh-ish version with apple as the only ingredient)
Prosecco
Tito’s or vodka of choice
Rosemary
Sugar
Cinnamon
The ratio I typically go for is 1:1:1 of vodka, apple cider, and prosecco. But of course, adjust accordingly to your (and your guests’ tastes).
The best part to batch is the 1/2 vodka 1/2 apple cider in a pitcher.
I mix sugar with some cinnamon in a small dish, and line the rim of each of the flutes with this mixture first.
In small flutes or your class of choice, add an ice cube or two and fill about 2/3 the glass with the vodka apple mixture. Then go back and top everything up with the bubbly prosecco. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary. Done and done!
Serve with some charcuterie bites, perhaps a baked brie or artichoke dip, you can’t go wrong! Perfect for any fall / winter event.
xoxo,
Josie
