Madrid Favorites
Compiling my top Madrid spots from my semester studying in Madrid- this city is truly amazing and I miss it every single day! While this is my overarching guide/hit list to the city, I also have other posts from my time in Madrid here and here.
To eat—
Casa Macareno- This was one of our favorite cozy tapas restaurants, and became a go-to for any friends/family visiting in town! The patatas bravas here are so punchy and good, the seafood risotto also did not disappoint. Do not miss the chocolate cake (I still think about this) and the sangrias.
Aarde- fancier, African/Mediterannean restaurant by Puerto de Alcala. Came for my birthday and also when my parents visited! Loved the truffle risotto and the hummus and flatbread, the seafood and steak were also delish.
La Fragua de Sebin- Another yummy tapas restaurant, with lots of good menu options. The patatas come with crispy onions on top omg.
Ten con Ten- fancy, serves the same truffle risotto as Aarde and the ricotta rigatoni is fab.
Villa Capri/Circolo Popolare- from the Big Mamma restaurant group (also Paris/Ldn). Cool interiors and vibes, good service, and consistent yum menu! Must get the mafaldine tartufo and passion spritz.
Takos al Pastor- cheap tacos/margs, fast, good for groups lunch/din
Hummuseria- Mediterranean lunch/dinner
Cafes/brunch/lunch—
Federal Cafe- coffee/brunch, good shakshuka and iced lattes
Little Big Cafe- neighborhood coffee/brunch/studying, we lived close by so this was a go-to. Love the breakfast burritos, avocado toast with eggs and feta, Nutella pancake, & cafe con leche de avena<3

Hanso Cafe- matcha! very LA vibes cafe
Honest Greens- fast casual chain, so many delicious healthy plates and bowls
