Boston Commons
After going to university in Boston for the last four years, I have collected up my top spots that I know I will want to return to in the future. My Boston favorites are my most frequented and nostalgic places to meet friends for coffee, eat and chat for hours, or go on long walks no matter what season.
If I were to visit Boston for a weekend, here are the top spots I’d be sure to hit…
Favorite activities—
Boston Commons stroll through Boston Public Garden to Beacon Hill- Rouvalis floral, vintage boutiques, lunch
Sunset walk (any season) along the Charles River
Red Sox games @ Fenway Park
Brookline for vintage shops, matcha at Maruichi, pasteis de nata at Flake Bakery
SoWa open market and art galleries
Cafes—
Greystone Cafe- My South End go-to for meeting friends any time of day, coffee, sandwiches, bowls, & summer ice cream sammys
Thinking Cup- Perfect to sit outside and people watch on Newbury
Tatte- A classic throughout college. The grilled cheese and tomato soup, the breakfast sandwiches, tuna, shakshuka, etc etc…
Shybird- Delish new-ish lunch spot, loved the caesar wrap!
Cafe Landwer- Mediterranean brunch/lunch
Eva- Brunch/afternoon sun spot with an outdoor patio on Newbury
Dinner—
Tableside tzatziki and mediterranean tapas @ Krasi. I lived nearby for a year and it quickly became a favorite
Lolita for tacos and drinks, great for groups
Petit Robert- French menu & espresso tinis… j’adore soupe a l’oignon gratinée
Select Oyster Bar
Sonsie- The sidewalk-facing tables in the front remind me of Paris
Ilona- Greek dips and zucchini chips are to-die for
Banyan- Dumplings, lychee martinis
Matsunori- Hand roll bar
Pho Basil- My winter casual din/takeout of choice
Street Bar @ the Newbury Hotel
Felipe’s rooftop in the summer
Delux & Anchovies- Favorite divey drinks spots in the South End

Cannolis and hot cocoa @ Caffe Vittoria in the North End (especially love during the Winter/holiday season)
L.A. Burdick hot cocoa and treats
Saloniki Greek froyo
Cookie fix always from Levain
Scoop & Scootery ice cream sundaes
Emack & Bolio’s and Van Leeuwen ice cream
Apple cider donuts from anywhere in the burbs or if you find yourself near an apple farm… a New England fall delicacy
